PhD Positions
QICI invites applications for PhD Fellowships for the academic year 2023/2024.
QICI is home to a vibrant research community, organised in two research groups led by Professors Giulio Chiribella and Ravi Ramanathan. We support an open research culture, where original thinking and academic merit are encouraged and nurtured.
The research environment of QICI is enriched by recently-launched HKU-Oxford Joint Laboratory for Quantum Information and Computation, co-hosted in collaboration with the Quantum Group at the University of Oxford.
Possible areas of PhD research include quantum information theory, quantum cryptography, quantum causality, foundations of quantum mechanics, and device-independent quantum information processing.
The positions are awarded on a competitive basis and are fully funded for up to 4 years.
We welcome candidates with backgrounds in Computer Science, and/or Physics, and/or Mathematics.
Applications are encouraged from all backgrounds, nationalities, and genders.
We particularly welcome applications from underrepresented groups in Computer Science.
Applications are invited all year around.
